This subject is personally very near and dear to me. I’m one of a very small handful of tour guides specially trained and licensed by the Israel Ministry of Tourism to create and guide special itineraries for people with special needs. These include people in wheelchairs(manual or electric), people who are visually or hearing impaired (including those who are totally blind or deaf) and people with emotional and mental disabilities.

Over the past several years the Israel National Park Service has enhanced many tourist sites by making them accessible to visitors with impairments and disabilities. Masada and Zippori are but two of such sites located throughout the country. Today there is no reason why people with special needs cannot enjoy a holiday in Israel with their families.
